Bargamot has been used since the 16th century in southern europe to combat fever. It is Bergamot which gives Earl Grey tea its distinctive flavour. It is commonly used as a fixative for cosmetics, toiletries and sun tanning products.
It is a great deodorant and will help kill germs in the home. A few drops can be placed in a saucer of hot water or on top of a radiator to freshen a room.
It can be inhaled directly from a tissue to relieve emotional upset or negative moods.
NB: Can irritate skin, especially if exposed to sunlight.
