The Pericardium
Meridian starts near the heart, where it divides into two branches. One emerges
from the lower chest area to reach the armpit before reversing down the arm to
end at the tip of the middle finger. The other branch takes the same path but
stops at the ring finger, where it meets the Triple Burner.
Acupuncture points in this
meridian are used for heart, chest, and peptic diseases as well as mental
illness. They are also indicated for symptoms manifested along the meridian’s
pathway.
