GROUNDING

The experience of being grounded is when we feel anchored solidly in the present with a sense of inner clam and clarity. Being ungrounded is a state of feeling confused and unfocused, fuzzy etc.
Holding  grounding stones (such as Hemetite) help us focus chaotic energy and restore us to every day awareness. A simple grounding exercise is to sit or stand with our feet firmly planted on the floor, then imagining roots growing from them into the earth. With each breath allow the roots to spread deeper and wider until you feel anchored and secure.

PROTECTIVE CRYSTALS -BLACK OBSIDIAN, TOURMALINE AND HEMATITIE

Black crystals protect us from negative energies. The three described below protect us in different ways. All three can be put together in a small cloth bag and worn on the left side of the body at the groin, or in the left trouser pocket where it can be touched as required.

BLACK OBSIDIAN

* absorbs NEGATIVE ENERGIES
Negative energies are usually strong, but have a low vibrational frequency it usually attached to our the feet and legs. Obsidian can be places on the floor behind the front door to the house, to absorb ant negative energies from people who visit your home. Black Obsidian repels negative energy and disperses unloving thoughts.
During therapy is to placed on the floor under the  therapy table, between the patient and therapist to pick up any negative energies released from the patient during therapy.

 BLACK TOURMALINE

* dispels NEGATIVE ENERGIES
Black tourmaline channels a high vibrational frequency energy through their parallel striations, almost like electricity, making it effective in disintegrating negative energies and dispersing environmental energies and psychic attacks. It can be placed on shelves or tables in an upright position.
It is advised to use several in therapy rooms.

HEMATITE

 * repels  NEGATIVE ENERGIES
Hematite has the quality to reflect negative energies like a mirror.
They can be carried  in trouser pockets to protect our abundance centers.  Wearing hematite bracelets on our left wrist prevent negative energies entering.  Pendants worn around the neck can also be beneficial.

The oil is extracted from the leaves of this tree. It is cultivated in France, Italy, Greece and the Bulkan countries.
The ancient Greeks believed that laurel was protected by the gods:their mythology states that the maiden Daphne was turned into a laurel tree to escape from Apollo.
The Romans also prized it: Caesar wore a laurel crown after victorious battles.
Over the centuries it has been use as a culinary herb and a powerful cure-all.
It has a strong medicinal smell with a warm and spicy twist.
It is relaxing, warming, antiseptic and is a great immune system booster.

Used in aromatherapy for aches and pains, period cramps and fluid retention. It is also good for those who find they constantly catch colds and flu as it will increase resistance.

This oil is extracted from the fresh berries and needles of the evergreen Juniper tree. It is native to northern Europe and is also grown commercially in France, Italy, Scandinavia, Spain and Canada.

It is diuretic, antiseptic, uplifting but relaxing and is excellent for aches and pains.

In aromatherapy it can be used for stress, fluid retention, menstrual problems, cramps, sluggish circulation and cellulite. It also tones up greasy skin and helps with Acne.

USES AT HOME: Massages, baths, inhalation, poultices, compresses.Diluted with a suitable carrier oil it makes a wonderfully relieving massage for aching joints and muscles, rheumatism and PMT/menstrual problems.
By adding 3-4 drops to a bath you can have a delightfully relaxing soak which will lift your spirits.

VISUALIZATION EXERCISE

It is best to do this exercise with a crystal you already know and feel comfortable with.
1. Sit comfortably holding the crystal in both hands, relax and focus on it.
2. Slowly allow your awareness to float down into the crystal and come to rest there.
3. Think about how the crystal feels: cool and dry, warm and damp, rough or smooth? Take some time to explore its inner energies.
4. Relax once more and attune yourself to the crystals inner vibration or sound - is it a pulse, a tone or a tune, high or low, simple or complex? Listen for a few minutes, then relax again.
5. Take a few slow deep breaths and then imagine you are breathing in the energy of the crystal. Does it have a taste or smell?
6. Hold the crystal near your solar plexus and imagine your breath is entering your body through the crystal.
7. Relax again, and open your inner eyes to imagine the lattice structure of the crystal, its inner landscape and light. Don't try to analyse anything you see - just let it come and go.
8. Now start to become aware again of the crystals taste, smell, sounds and touch. Gradually bring your awareness out of the crystal and back into your own body.
9. Grounding as necessary.
It is a good idea to make a few short notes so that you will be able to remember the experience again later.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - LOVE +++

IT IS YOUR JOB TO LOVE YOUR CHILDREN,
NOT TO CHOOSE WHO THEY SHOULD LOVE

FRANKINCENSE (Boswellia)

The oil is extracted from the tree resin.
Frankincense has been treasured for centuries and was burnt as the incense to appease all gods, and was used in many cultures to treat common ailments. It has a warm rich smell which is uplifting, relaxing, calming and is also mildly antiseptic.

In aromatherapy it is wonderful for alleviating tiredness, bad temper, negative mood, lack of self-confidence and relieves emotional turmoil. It helps to sow down breathing and has a calming effect.

USE AT HOME: Massage, Inhalation, Baths.
Dilute a few drops with carrier oil for a warming, relaxing, invigorating massage.
Massaging into temples helps relieve tension headaches.
Inhale on a tissue or add a few drops to bath water to remove stress and sweeten your mood.

JASMIN - Jasminum officinale

It takes about 8 million flowers to make a kilogram (2.2lbs) of oil. The flowers have to be hand picked before dawn, hence this oil is expensive, but for me it is well worth it. It is grown in Egypt, France, India, Italy and Morocco.
Jasmine has been prized - above all for its scent which is rich, exotic and romantic. It has been used for many years in toiletries and is used in most great classic perfumes due to its sensual tones.
The oil is deep red in colour and smells as fragrant as the flower. It is uplifting, relaxing and imparts confidence, optimism and sometimes euphoria. It is good for dry and/or sensitive skin, but also is good for aches and cramps.
It is excellent for depression, apathy, frigidity, fatigue, stress and irritability. It is great for PMT and also an excellent skin-softener.
USES AT HOME: Massage, baths, inhalation, poultices, compresses.
Jasmin mixes well with most oils so it is very good to add to recipies for relaxing baths or massages.
Add 3-4 drops to a saucer of water and place on a radiator to make everyone feel mellow.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - dreams

A DREAM IS A WISH YOUR HEART MAKES...

CLEANING AND CARING FOR CRYSTALS AND STONES

Treat your quartz crystals with love and respect.
They love to be on display where they can reflect the light and radiate their beauty. They can be put on shelves, bedside tables, chimneys, plant pots, meditation alters – anywhere they can receive light and can fulfil their task.
When you buy a new crystal or are given it by someone, it needs to be cleansed to remove any previously stored vibrations. Cleaning also resets their vibration so that they are more receptive of their new home and owner.
When transporting crystals it is advisable to wrap them individually to prevent chips or scratches.

-WITH  SANDALWOOD INCENSE
-1/2 HOUR IN SUN LIGHT
-WITH HEALING
ENERGIES
-1/2 HOUR ON A TRANSPARENT QUARTZ CLUSTER
- UNDER FLOWING WATER  ( ideally in a stream, the sea but if that is not possible then under the tap)

Moonlight is not recommended.
I personally do not like to use to use salt or salted water, as the salt is also a crystal and over time may scratch and dull the surface.
The best and most practical way is to place the crystal on a cluster for half an hour. Using a large quartz cluster allows you to cleanse several crystals simultaneously.
Using Sandalwood incense, cleanses low frequency energies, raising their vibration.
Channelling  healing energies and directing them into the crystal.
Putting the crystals in sunlight for 30 minutes.
Sometimes it may be necessary to cleanse exceptionally depleted or ill-used crystals in several different ways.
Clusters rarely need cleansing due to their multi-dimensional reflection - and are self cleansing. However, should you feel the need to clean a cluster,  using water - then sunlight is the best method.

FORGIVING THOSE THAT HURT YOU...

Forgive past hurts, and people who may have inflicted them, either knowingly or unknowingly. This is not out of kindness to them, but out of kindness to yourself. You are the one carrying the burden of these hurts. Forgive yourself for mistakes or paths not taken. Release the burden of the past so you can travel lighter in the present.
In times of crisis and radical change, remember that living means growing. I have never seen anything in nature grow backward. So, as bad as you feel, and as much as you doubt it, if you are alive you are growing.
Growth is creative. So, take advantage of the opportunity in these tough times to re-create your life by nourishing yourself, staying present, accepting support, trusting your resilience, visualizing positive possibilities and letting go of the past and perceived limitations.
Even though tough times are hard, they can also be the best times to explore ways to live more harmoniously with yourself and others.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY- Prayer for serenity

GOD, GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE, THE COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN, AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR CRYSTALS

When you get a new crystal it is a good idea to spend some time to get familiar with it and developing a sensitivity to its subtle energy field. Here are some simple techniques. Be aware of how you feel during each step.

DEVELOPING A SENSITIVITY TO YOUR CRYSTAL
Take a really good look at your crystal from all angles, then close your eyes and feel it in your hands for a minute or two.
Open your eyes and gaze at it. Then close your eyes again. Does the crystal feel the same to you as it did before?
Hold the crystal in one hand and then in the other - then hold it in both hands.
Lie back and place the crystal on the appropriate Chakra centre. Solar Plexus, Heart and Third Eye are often good places to start.
Whilst still lying down place the crystal close to your body. Take note of how it feels on your right side and then on your left. How does it feel near your head and feet?

IN LOVING MEMORY

ZOE MICHELLE ROBSON
17th May 1973 - 20th December 2012

If tears could build a stairway
 and memories were a lane,
we would walk right up to heaven
 and bring you back again.
No farewell words were spoken,
 no time to say 'goodbye'.
You were gone before we knew it,
 and only God knows why.
Our hearts still ache in sadness,
 and secret tears will flow
What it meant to lose you
no one will ever know.
But now we know you want us
to mourn for you no more;
to remember all the happy times
life still has much in store.
Since you'll never be forgotten,
we pledge to you today
a cherished place within our heart
is where you'll always stay.

CREATION

Creation unfolds in each of us, moment to moment. Creation is constantly arising in the present. As every moment arises and passes, there is a moment of creation. And it is creation which is centering our experience. It is that inherent intention and organisation of a human being, just in this very moment, as an expression of  the creativity of the universe, which supports our experience of life.

The Stream of Life

The same stream of life that runs through my
veins night and day
runs through the world and dances in
rhythmic measures.
It is the same life that shoots in joy
through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass
and breaks into
tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.
It is the same life that is rocked in the
ocean-cradle of life and death,
in ebb and flow.

UNITY

In a real sense all of life is inter-related.
All men are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality,
tied in a single garment of destiny.
Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.
I can never be what I ought to be
until you are what you ought to be,
and you can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be.
This is the interrelated structure of reality.

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jnr.
